As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Afternoon Shift in Surprise, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere within a retail and mall environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help minimize unwanted activity, and providing outstanding service to both visitors and employees. This is a primarily driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property in a vehicle as well as on foot, as needed. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail business and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and client representatives as directed.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail location.
• Complete required reports and logs accurately and in a timely manner as instructed by Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack may be present; experience working in such environments is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
