Payroll Specialist

Keplr Vision is a business support services company focused on investing and partnering with medically focused optometry practices and providing best in class lens technology and patient experience. Keplr currently has over 260+ practices in 30 states and is able to provide exceptional levels of clinical, operational and marketing support with its more than decade-old business services platform.
Keplr Vision is currently going through tremendous growth and expanding its Payroll Department. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join the team. This is a remote role.
Primary Functions:
• Process employee payrolls across multiple divisions and cycles.
• Responsible for implementation of any new pay platforms.
• Manage and review timecards.
• Understanding and reconciliation of Federal and State tax accounts.
• Create reports and analyses of payroll to assist with questions from CFO, Controller, finance, auditors, management and other departments.
• Review the computation of pay and ensure the company payroll policies are in accordance with government regulations.
• Assist HR to respond to and resolve any inquiries regarding paychecks.
• Document and maintain payroll processing procedures.
• Set up wage garnishments and child support payments, process and complete necessary paperwork.
• Preparation of federal census report.
• Administer 401(k) deferrals and loans, perform compliance testing and prepare for annual audit.
• Perform year-end payroll activities, including final adjustment runs and W-2 form administration.
• Maintain accurate and organized employee records, files, logs, and other supporting documentation for auditors (Internal and External auditors).
• Assist Finance department with any general ledger, payroll audit, or tax issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.
• Other business development departmental needs as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient with pay processing technology.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
