Lockbox Operations Specialist I (Night Shift)

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing operational activities of the unit to ensure that services are delivered reliably, accurately, professionally, and in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) data privacy and security requirements.
This is a graveyard shift position. Candidates must be able to work Sunday 10pm - 8am, Mon-Thurs 11pm - 8am.
- Provides reliable, accurate, and efficient service in a professional manner, meeting all service commitments and standards by processing lockbox payments, including payments to medical associations that may contain HIPAA protected health information. Performs various workflow assignments, including receiving and sorting incoming mail, capturing, and keying work, including digital mail for various internal departments, and distribution of output to internal or external customers using appropriate control processes and in accordance with operating procedures.
- Communicates and works with other team members, internal customers, technical support staff, and vendors. Provides flexible team support in meeting required deadlines.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 2 years of banking, item processing, balancing and reconcilement, accounting, or equivalent work experience. Prior experience processing HIPAA protected information is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems. Ability to independently operate required equipment after initial training period.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented, analytical ability and math skills sufficient to balance transactions. Able to work independently with frequent interruptions. Must be able to lift/transport up to 50 pounds and be able to stand for extended periods of time. Able to work flexible hours including graveyard shift, holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
