Location: This position will be based on-site in Palo Alto, CA. This is a firm requirement and relocation assistance is not available.
 
The Role:

As a Senior Developer, you will work in an agile scrum environment to accelerate innovations for next generation of SAP Business Network. You will have the opportunity to work on complex business problems and build solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform with Java, CAP/CDS, Fiori Elements, UI5, and SAP HANA. 

 

To succeed in this position, you must be able to:

 

 

• Participate in each stage of the Software Development Lifecycle (analyze, design, implement, test, deploy and maintain) and take full ownership and responsibility of your work
• Provide technical leadership for key component areas of the largest business network in the cloud
• Internalize business requirements and solve them with engineered solutions
• Make initiatives and drive topics to resolution
• Mentor junior developers and help the team succeed

 
Responsibilities:

 

 

• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Work on cloud-native development utilizing microservices architectures
• Build and deliver features with high standards on usability, scalability, resiliency, and security and hold the same standards for fellow engineers
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members in different time zones
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on demand

 
Qualifications:

 

 

• Bachelor or master’s in computer science or engineering
• 8+ years of development experience developing and maintaining production grade software 
• 3+ years working on cloud-based software solutions
• Excellent OOD, Java, and SQL skills
• Experience with REST/XML/JSON, Kafka, Spring Boot, Maven, Jenkins, GitHub
• Experience with SAP products and technologies such as BTP, CAP/CDS, Fiori Elements/UI5, Kyma, HANA, and S/4HANA is a plus
