In August of 2019, Grassdoor opened its first licensed delivery hub in Commerce, California and now operates multiple hubs to help facilitate statewide, same-day, Cannabis delivery. Aside from being one of the largest Cannabis retailers in California, Grassdoor also offers its infrastructure of hubs, delivery drivers and technology (i.e., Delivery as a Service) to help brands, marketplaces and competing Cannabis retailers provide a best-in-class e-commerce and delivery experience to their respective customers.
Summary
Responsible for managing warehouse site operations to increase operational efficiency, ensure a safe working environment, and nurture a culture where employees can do their best work every day. Ensure the Associate Warehouse Managers and staff are efficient by demonstrating excellent leadership and sound judgment. This role has access to confidential and proprietary trade secrets as well as product data so integrity and high levels of discretion are required. Must be committed to working safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as compliance with regulations. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, and weekends.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Managers, Supervisors, Leads, Associates by managing the overall safety, quality, productivity, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations from receiving to dispatch.
- Successfully lead warehouse staff by effectively managing performance, career development, employee scheduling, attendance, productivity, safety programs, workplace injuries, communications, change associated with organizational growth, and supporting the workplace culture.
- Manage and maintain effective people practices with direct reports, and adherence to established corporate and department policies and procedures.
- Ensure all new employees are properly on-boarded; complete the required paperwork and follow a structured training schedule.
- Effectively partner with other departments to appropriately manage the day-to-day
- Partner with leaders to balance labor ensuring appropriate levels of staffing regarding daily workload.
- Monitor KPIs to measure efficiency and hold the operation accountable to achieve productivity and budget targets.
- Employ standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management and accuracy per company and state guidelines. Ensure all inventory compliance measures are effectively managed and monitored.
- Perform regular audits and reviews of METRC records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
- Identify, address, and advance system inefficiencies and system bugs in order to drive consistent improvement for the warehouse system.
- Implement safety and sanitation schedules that ensure the facility’s compliance with corporate, OSHA, FDA, AIB or ASI standards.
- Oversee facility security to protect all company assets and all facility related tasks, including but not limited to equipment, building maintenance, and replenishment of all supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-7 years managing hourly nonexempt staff in a 365 environment and working in a warehouse environment
- Experience working with unionized employees preferred
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- 21 years of age

Physical requirements/Working conditions
- Primarily work in a warehouse environment
- Prolonged use of PC
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs
- Repetitive hand motion with keyboard, mouse, handwriting, and filing
- Ability to frequently stand, speak, and hear
