Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T01) or a Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T02). This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate will be expected to:

In this role, you will be asked to manage a team that conducts research, develops models, and performs analysis of a wide variety of system types to drive the development of requirements, refine existing requirements, and influence the pursuit of future technologies and capabilities. You will work within the Product Support organization on forward looking (projection based) metrics to status the health and capabilities of weapon systems. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and technical writing skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple technical tasks and present to leadership.

Skills in the areas of data transformation, discrete event simulation, Monte Carlo simulations, mathematical optimization, regression analyses, trend & sensitivity analysis, data sampling, and computing are essential.

Modeling & Simulation analysis tasks will include:

  • Spares Forecasting

  • Readiness Modeling

  • Obsolescence Forecasting

  • Level of Repair (LOR) Analysis

  • Cost Analysis

  • Business Case Analysis

  • Cost per Flight Hour Analysis

The Candidate must possess strong communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks. Proficiency with Tableau, R, Python, VBA, PowerQuery, Microsoft Access, Arena, or other programming language for data analytics is essential.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer level (T01) or a Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer level (T02).

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T01):

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree such as Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related

  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer (T02):

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of experience.

  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
