This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. The Nurse Manager of the Neuro Institute provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered nursing care within the assigned unit. This role sets the clinical vision for nursing practice, provides expert supervision, and drives quality, safety, and performance outcomes. The Nurse Manager leads all aspects of workforce management and professional development, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. In collaboration with interdisciplinary partners, the Nurse Manager coordinates unit operations and is responsible for budget development, resource stewardship, and continuous improvement initiatives.
A caregiver in this position works days from, 7:00am—4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
Supervise caregivers and promote development.
Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
Coordinate unit operations with other units/departments.
Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish/revise inventory quotes.
Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans.
Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience
High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area
Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.
