Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of our HQ Deerfield, IL. Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead IT TMS Application Analyst with deep expertise in MercuryGate and a strong background in Transportation Management System (TMS) implementations. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of IT experience, including at least two full lifecycle TMS implementations, and a strong understanding of TMS-ERP integrations, EDI/XML, and parcel shipping solutions. Familiarity with SAP ECC, SAP PI, and SAP logistics modules is also essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on MercuryGate TMS, including configuration, optimization, and support.
• Lead and support the implementation and integration of MercuryGate with enterprise systems such as SAP ECC and other ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Manage TMS-ERP integrations, including SAP PI middleware and data transformation using EDI/XML formats.
• Support ongoing operations of TMS applications, troubleshoot system issues, and provide resolution to ensure business continuity.
• Assist with configuration and support of parcel shipping solutions and integrations.
• Provide insights and recommendations on process improvements and technology enhancements.
• Create and maintain documentation related to TMS configurations, workflows, and interfaces.
• Partner with logistics, transportation, and IT teams to ensure system alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience, with a focus on transportation and logistics systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of MercuryGate TMS.
• Successful participation in at least two full lifecycle TMS implementations
• Proficient with MercuryGate configuration tools, including workflow automation, routing guides, rating engines, and carrier integration.
• Strong competency with logistics concepts, including freight forwarding, transportation modes, and freight pricing.
• Hands-on experience with TMS-ERP integration, particularly with SAP ECC and SAP PI.
• Solid experience working with EDI/XML formats for data exchange and system integration.
• Familiarity with SAP logistics modules (e.g., SD, MM) is highly desirable.
• Experience with parcel shipping solutions (e.g., FedEx, UPS integration).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• MercuryGate certification
• Experience in the manufacturing, retail, or distribution industries.
• Exposure to cloud-based integration tools and APIs.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
