Senior Bid Consultant

Overview

The Bid Consultant will have a strong management and writing focus, leading and managing their own bids from start to finish with teams of varying sizes and complexity. The role requires storyboarding, writing, reviewing and editing content, working with bid team members to produce end to end bid responses in line with customer deadlines, ensuring all approvals are obtained and the Expleo brand and bid messaging is compelling. The role requires strong bid management skills when owning a bid lifecycle from start to finish including commercial and legal knowledge, with a strong emphasis on design and quality deliverables whilst hitting all bid milestones and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Providing strong leadership within the bid process, acting as the voice of the bid and team.  
• Review and understand the bid approach and contribute to evolving it. 
• Produce compelling bid material in line with the messaging to the customer.  
• Conduct bid win theme sessions with the team early in the process to ensure consistency of messaging  
• Writing bid sections when required across non-technical or service line questions  
• Storyboard responses to sections or questions, working with the subject matter experts to guide them in responding  
• Provide detailed and concise bid plans and manage them to closure and sign off  
• Conduct bid / no bid sessions to ensure the correct opportunities are being qualified in a timely manner  
• Contribute to and manage elements of the bid such as legals and commercials and all required sign off’s for different bid thresholds  
• Attention to detail and the ability to extract and summarise bid documents  
• Design compelling visual content in line with Expleo brand guidelines with support from the design team  
• A thought leader in terms of the bid process and bid material and continually look to evolve our bid messaging and approaches including tooling for automation of bid libraries

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience

• Experience in end to end bid management (3 years+) 
• Experience in bid writing essential within a professional bid environment ideally the Consultancy sector  
• Experience in leading a graphic designer to create visually compelling bid content and submissions desirable
