The Receiving Associate collaborates directly with the team coordinator and department supervisor to ensure customer product is shipped on time, as specified with all required documentation. This position is key to company quality standards.

What you’ll do:

  • De-trash boxes of receiving materials and move materials to inspection or stock holding areas.
  • Verify packaging and paperwork regarding the count, AVL/AML, part number, shelf life, traceability, etc.
  • Receive materials in system and track inventory by performing computer transactions.
  • Print required labels and paperwork for materials.
  • Create receiving discrepancy reports to notify purchasing department of incongruent materials received
  • Work with purchasing, engineering, or quality dept to receive materials once discrepancies are resolved
  • Contribute to a positive team working environment and maintain a clean and organized area.
  • Drive continuous improvement by looking for opportunities for improvement and working projects
  • Cross-train and assist other areas as needed, including stockroom, cycle count, and shipping support
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to work accurately with numbers, material lists, and electronic components required.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly requirements.
  • Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Receiving and/or PCBA manufacturing experience
  • MRP knowledge and/or experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses production equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.
