Check out how our External referral policy works </strong><strong><u><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w_6mWaqSTfhv_UVIx5bZR_03zf8ht67U/view?usp=sharing">here</a></u></strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Being a member of an autonomous, cross-location core architecture team to work on defining  best practices and standards.</li><li>You are responsible for making the impact of changes clear, and ensuring a sound design and approach.</li><li>Balance the need to go fast in the short term with the need to go fast in the long term.</li><li>You work side-by-side with other architects, product/engineering managers, technology leads and individual contributors of varying degrees of seniority, to collaborate for solutions, decision making and leading by example.</li><li>Anticipate and act upon issues that arise, providing alternative approaches and solutions.</li><li>Evaluate and create new tools and techniques to facilitate effective development and architectural practices.</li><li>Communicate a clear vision of how the technology can be optimally applied to products.</li><li>Set the standard for highest quality of work. Lead by example and be proactive in raising concerns as soon as they are observed.</li><li>Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending (and sharing) in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and testing new applications or solutions</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Skills and Experience</strong></p><p><strong>Essentials</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, proven experience in successfully completing development of two or more complex applications or technologies, or equivalent applicable experience.</li><li>Strong experience as a Software Engineer programming in OO/FP languages but preferably in JVM: Java, Scala or Kotlin. Also designing or implementing API best practices as well as using design and architectural patterns.</li><li>Self-motivated; works independently.</li><li>Good exposure or migrating services/solutions to public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP… ).</li><li>Strong communication skills, especially in representing their expertise to a wide range of people. Forges relationships with development personnel throughout the industry.</li><li>Expert in current software design practices, including modularity, event-driven architecture, functional programming, microservices, object-oriented design, optimization, extensibility, and testability. Stays abreast of industry innovations and developments.</li><li>Excellent analysis, project planning, and schedule estimating skills as applied to multi-person projects.  Ability to anticipate and resolve project roadblocks</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Previous working experience in a startup or product company with high traffic experience. </li><li>Previous experience on working in a centralised architecture function is a plus.</li><li>Domain Driven Design is a Plus.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Abilities/qualities</strong></p><ul><li>Enthusiastic about company and engineering company products.
