About the role:
The Manager, Product has overall accountability for driving business critical initiatives that will drive forward the strategic goals of the Zego business unit.. The Product Manager provides direction to product development and the overall process of the product and services function, builds products and services from existing ideas and helps to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects, increasing profitability of existing products and services while developing new solutions which advance business objectives and client needs. Key activities will include managing the team’s product backlog to ensure the maximum business value is delivered each iteration. The PM works closely with Product and Engineering Leadership and is responsible for introducing and managing Feature Releases / Epics / Stories / Defects within the team’s backlog, decomposing requirements, and defining a definition of success that represents our vision across all areas of Zego. The Product Manager is a member of the development team, actively participates in iterations, and is consistently available to team members for questions, clarity, and understanding. The PM is responsible for the clarification, elaboration, and delivery of all shippable deliverables from their team.
What you’ll do here:
Manages team of Product Managers to facilitate completion of initiative and feature releases that furthers the business objectives of the Zego business unit
Manages the process from product development to product launch, owning the full process from discovery to execution for new or existing product and technical initiatives.
Partners with platform owners/stewards across business functions to understand their information objectives and desired insights to identify what questions are we wanting to ask and why those answers matter to Zego.
Leads the analysis to determine reports, dashboards and visualizations that will help to inform Zego business decisions by working closely with clients, business units, Product, and Engineering to elicit platform requirements.
Looks for patterns across objectives where the team can gain efficiencies/synergies between domains or business functions.
Develops business cases for new product functionality to serve as inputs to decision-making, prioritization, pricing, and client value proposition.
Owns, manages, and communicates the team’s product roadmap, including collaborating with Product, Engineering, clients, and business units to determine prioritization, development, and ongoing costs of platform delivery.
Authors the high level requirements for initiatives and feature releases that the team can use to define specific product needs, definitions and requirements.
Manages the details of the product backlog and ensures continual enhancements to existing products; prioritizing work items to ensure technical teams understand the right priorities to focus on.
Collaborates with Product and Engineering on the Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap for the Product Manager’s domain
Owns (creates, maintains, and prioritizes) the product backlog, balancing conflicting priorities.
Analyzes and validates functional and nonfunctional requirements for Product value.
