Job Summary:

This position assists the Finance area in the acquisition of services and goods for the university by performing the specific duties listed below. Manages the area of Procurement Services and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Procurement Services unit under the direction of the Senior Accounting Director and Controller.

Skills/Qualifications:

o Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and three years related experience. Extensive prior work experience (at least 8 years) may substitute for degree requirement, but must be relevant to tasks described below.

o Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations, to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

o Ability to effectively and confidently respond to questions from employees and/or suppliers with accurate information.

o Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

o Must be familiar with keyboarding, computer-based spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Responsibilities:

· Review, approve and assign purchase orders for all purchase requisitions in Workday according to university policy.

· Negotiate with suppliers for purchasing discounts and contracts. Notify departments of specific suppliers

that items will be purchased from because of volume discounts negotiated.

· Responsible for campus bidding and requests for proposals in coordination with the needs of various Cost Centers. Responsible for contract bidding rotation for major University contracts.

· Responsible for the procurement card program for the University including monitoring and internal controls for the program to safeguard university assets. · Maintain a database of all university copiers and equipment leases. Serve as the university contact for these leases and the managed print program.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Payroll & Payables, the Controller, or CFO.

· Managing absences from work in a responsible manner to ensure service to university faculty, staff and students.

· Complying with Campbellsville University policies and practices and seeking clarification of them when necessary.
