Part-time: 24/hours a week

Location: Southwest Florida – Covering all 13 Imaging Centers

Position Summary 

Under the general direction of the medical records supervisor performs those duties directly involving, but not limited to, the various courier services of a diagnostic outpatient imaging facility, requiring nominal supervision of courier detail. Performs all courier procedures and services effectively with reasonable independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative. Assumes responsibility for associated duties as assigned. Performs other related duties with the job classification or organizations as necessary or as assigned by the manager. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Deliver diagnostic reports and x-ray-images digitally, in their specific assigned area correctly and in a timely manner. 
• Responsible for pickups and deliveries of any x-rays, images, diagnostic reports, inter-office mail, billing paperwork, and other medical records at doctors’ offices, outside facilities, and any other miscellaneous pickups and deliveries in specific route area. 
• Maintain own logs of all x-ray pickups, deliveries, and other items requested to be logged daily. 
• Assist with other film library courier and clerical tasks and duties when own assigned courier work is complete. 
• Perform a general daily check of the company vehicle and report all discrepancies, maintenance issues, and any other vehicle problems to the team leader and/or immediate supervisor without delay. 
• Contribute to and maintain a good working rapport with all patients, personnel, and radiologists/physicians to assure that the organization’s objectives can effectively meet the needs of patients and physicians. 

Requirements

Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED 

Experience: Required: Valid Florida driver’s license with a safe/clean driving record 

Preferred: No less than 6 months’ practical courier experience.
