About the role

Hi, we’re CompanyCam.

We create simple-to-use, visual-first communication and accountability tools for contractors. Imagine a B2B SaaS (business-to-business software-as-a-service) app that doesn’t look like garbage, built by a team of capable, laid-back people.

But don’t let the chill throw you off; we’re a fast-growing, product-led startup with big plans for the future.

The Role

Do you genuinely enjoy working in People Operations/Talent Management? Do you enjoy creating best-in-industry employment experiences, starting with robust onboarding and extending through the entire employee life-cycle? Do you love crisp, productive processes and the joy of crafting the process? (Yes, we just said joy and process in the same sentence). Are you a strategic thinker and long-term visionary...who also isn't afraid to get into the fine details of HR for a department? If you answered 'yes' to these questions you owe it to yourself to read on - and apply!

CompanyCam is growing fast. We’re looking for people who can juggle multiple projects, processes and tasks at once while maintaining a keen focus on our internal customers (our employees). Additionally, our HR Business Partners integrate themselves within departments/ functions – focusing on people (headcount, learning, org structure, performance, etc) – partnering with department executives to help the organization reach its business objectives.

In this job you will...

  • Foster a fun, inclusive, high performance culture. PeopleOps leads by modeling the kind of company everyone wants to work for.
  • Coach, educate and correct others on best practices related to business practices, such as workforce planning/selection, compensation, retention, organizational structure, development, succession planning, talent management and performance management.
  • Lead relevant trainings for groups of all sizes (company-wide, individually).
  • Deliver value to the organization and drive decision-making processes.
  • Ensure that all HR activities are strategically aligned with manager priorities.
  • Provide data to leaders and lead discussions around promotions, internal transfers and other employee role changes.
  • Be the main liaison between HR, Talent Acquisition and the departments you serve.
  • Anticipate the needs of the departments you serve and proactively mitigate by providing recommendations.

You must...

  • Show up every day, using your courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
  • Grow up constantly: you thrive in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
  • Do good by treating your co-workers and customers the way you would like to be treated.
  • Be technically savvy and hungry to learn the ins and outs of our platform quickly.
  • Have stellar communication skills - both verbal and written. The majority of this job requires great communication.
  • Have a data-driven approach to all things. Educated decisions!
  • Have a knack for details.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset.
  • Collaborate effectively and practice autonomy when needed.
  • Have strong task-management and prioritization skills.
  • Be able to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Reside permanently and currently in the U.S. Sorry, we're not hiring outside the U.S. at this time even if you're willing to work during U.S. time zones.

It'd be nice if you...

  • Have experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems (Rippling, Greenhouse).
  • Have a general knowledge of benefits and the frequently used People Operations terminology.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience working in People Operations, preferably in Talent Management.
  • Have HR Certification(s) or are in the process of obtaining one.
  • Experience with a LMS (we use Rise).
  • Experience within our frequently-used softwares, such as Pigment, Lattice, Notion, Slack, ClickUp, etc.
  • Are fluent in writing and speaking Spanish.
