Senior Web Developer

Definitive Logic is seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer to design, develop and deploy a human resource system for the U. S. Army into a cloud environment using Drupal Version 10. The developer will be actively involved in designing and developing a cloud-native web application and website in an Azure environment. The professional will work on a lean development team dedicated to delivering high-quality software for a federal government agency looking to advance their cloud maturity. As a lead web developer, the professional will have room to exercise creativity and help shape the future of web-based capabilities in a cloud environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
·   Work with clients and other developers to elicit, refine, and clarify requirements·   Solve complex problems with a unique systems approach·   Design and develop web-based solutions in support of requirements·   Plan, prioritize, and execute work in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment·   Work in an agile manner using Scrum·   Document software development processes and prepare user guides.·   Track work using a ticket/issue system (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)·   Use version management software to manage and document all code changes (e.g., GitHub)·   Implement a CI/CD pipeline in support of DevSecOps processes

Required Qualifications

• Active Interim Secret clearance or higher, or ability to obtain one
• Associate’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining Drupal and Web Content Management Tool systems
• Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and JavaScript programming
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) environments and security protocols
• Certifications to qualify for Army Network Environment Information Assurance (IAT Level II or higher)
• Experience with developing and deploying web applications in an Azure environment
• Strong experience with Drupal content management software
• Strong experience with UI/UX development
• Experience creating and using REST-based APIs
• Ability to estimate development tasks accurately and meet agreed-upon deadlines
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and be accountable to the team and client for progress
• Azure Certified Developer
