About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our mechanical engineering efforts and develop our products and processes.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a dual role as a technical leader and process facilitator. You will be engaged in the design and development of medical devices, ensuring innovation, high standards of quality and compliance. Additionally, you will oversee the effective use of our CAD system (SolidWorks) across our departments, ensuring it is streamlined, efficient, and seamlessly integrated with our PLM system.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Engineer at 3Shape, you will:

  • Lead the mechanical design and development in multiple development projects together with project managers and engineering peers.
  • Facilitate innovation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize and standardize the use of SolidWorks across departments, promoting a lean and user-friendly approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of the CAD system with the PLM system.
  • Provide technical mentorship to the mechanical engineering team, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making to improve department workflows, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and support the development of robust engineering processes.

Your Profile

We are looking for professionals with:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on medical device development.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks, including advanced modeling, assemblies, and design best practices.
  • Experience within integrating CAD systems with PLM systems.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in complex projects from concept to completion.
