Private Duty LPN - Day Shift

 

Location: McKenzie, TN

 

Overview:Join our team as a Private Duty LPN in McKenzie, TN, providing compassionate, one-on-one care in a home setting. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, perfect for those looking for stability with daytime hours. With a total of 35 hours per week, you’ll have your evenings and weekends free!

 

Work Schedule:

• Days: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 7:45am - 2:45pm

Skills Required:

• G-Tube Management

Experience Requirement:Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience.Training Available: Comprehensive training is offered if the experience requirement is met.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
• Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN
• Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
• Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately
• Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and reports any changes
• Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient's file accordingly
• Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing
• Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Active CPR certification
• Familiarity with electronic health records
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
