The Opportunity
Compensation:
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience and salary range is $239,000 – $330,000.
Position Summary
The Global Head of Marketing Technology is a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving the transformation, adoption, and optimisation of client and marketing systems across the firm. This role combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of business development, data governance, and emerging technologies—particularly AI—to enhance client engagement, streamline marketing operations, and deliver actionable insights.
The Global Head of Marketing Technology will be integral to delivering an exceptional experience for our clients and positioning the firm as a global legal powerhouse.
Primary responsibilities:
Clients & Markets Systems Strategy
Develop and lead the strategic vision for C&MS (CRM, marketing platform, credentials/pitch/client listening databases), integrating AI and emerging technologies to transform business development and marketing processes.
Create and maintain a roadmap for system evolution aligned with business needs.
Continuously assess system fitness for purpose through horizon scanning, benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement.
AI Transformation for BD
Champion the use of AI to transform BD tasks and workflows.
Maintain deep expertise in available HSF Kramer AI tools, services and platforms, identifying impactful use cases and promoting adoption across BD teams.
Inspire and enable teams to embrace AI-driven ways of working.
Data Strategy and Governance
Set the data strategy for C&MS, ensuring clarity on sources of truth and identifying additional data needs.
Collaborate with IT and other system owners to establish and maintain a best-practice governance framework.
Implement a robust data maintenance and quality assurance plan.
Centre of Excellence (CoE)
Establish and lead a virtual CoE for the operational management of C&MS.
Ensure high standards of data quality, system performance, and service delivery.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for the management and optimisation of C&MS
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
Adoption and Engagement
Drive system adoption and user proficiency across the firm.
Identify opportunities to save time and create value through improved system usage, training, and engagement initiatives.
Reporting and Analytics
Lead the development of reporting and analytics capabilities within C&MS.
Deliver actionable insights that enhance client engagement, campaign effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.
Product Management
Oversee the full lifecycle of C&MS products, including selection, implementation, integration, and optimisation.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts in partnership with Procurement, ensuring systems meet business needs and service levels.
Collaboration with IT
Act as the primary liaison between IT and Business Development.
Ensure seamless communication and alignment on system upgrades, integrations, troubleshooting and security.
WHS Obligations
Comply with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role and, for leaders at any level, this includes adequately supervising and supporting team members to promote a safe and respectful workplace.
Key Performance Indicators:
Strategy: Delivery of a 12–24 month roadmap aligned with business priorities within 6 months
AI Transformation: Examples of AI use cases developed; time saved/productivity increased
Data Governance: Data quality score (% of clean, complete, accurate records)
