Senior Accountant – Statutory Transformation

We serve more than 50 entities in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and continue to expand our scope. <br/><br/>We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our External Reporting EMEA team. You play a key part in leading a major regional transformation project and driving process improvement and stabilization across statutory and tax reporting functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy cross-functional collaboration, and be passionate about innovation and automation.<p></p><p><b>Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:</b></p><ul><li>Lead a regional transformation project to centralize statutory and tax processes</li><li>Collaborate across regions and functions to ensure alignment and clear communication</li><li>Track, lead, and follow up on stabilization efforts and critical improvements post-transition to ensure smooth operations in the next fiscal year</li><li>Oversee global statutory filings, proactively identifying risks and informing leadership</li><li>Champion process improvements and automation; deliver clear insights through dashboards and reporting</li><li>Support revenue testing activities during peak periods</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Knowledge and Experience:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics</li><li>Demonstrated experience progressing toward this role, with strong collaboration, excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments</li><li>Strong Excel and Power BI skills; familiarity with automation tools and software </li><li>Experience with Python is a plus</li><li>An organized, proactive, collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and a good sense of humor</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Physical Job Requirements</b><br/><br/>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><h1><b>Benefits &amp; Compensation</b></h1><p><b>Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package</b><br/>A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
