Senior Engineering Manager

This Opportunity
Provides subject matter technical support and leadership for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, improvement, and construction of transit and rail infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector. Responsibilities include the research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of rail and transit facilities, track systems and alignment geometry, grade crossings, bus rapid transit, tunnels, bridges, utility relocation, drainage, earthworks, grading, information modeling, loading, maintenance of equipment (MOE) and maintenance of way (MOW) yards, and power substations and cabling. Provides situational guidance to PMs and managers that address current and future challenges, and that documentation and recommendations accurately account for and address risk, innovation, and future-ready opportunities. Provides leadership with ensuring that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality. This individual can be located out of our San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA office.
Your Impact
- Good Knowledge of Transit and rail for Communication and Train Control and/or Good Knowledge also for the civil works
- Perform the project team weekly or bi-weekly meeting
- Follow up meeting with the financial team for the project budget and the funds needed to complete the project
- Coordinate with the relevant departments for the project needs such as (Engineering department, Maintenance department)
- Perform and update the monthly reports such as (Monthly Update, Earn value measurement, Project schedule ..)
- Perform and update the quarter yearly reports such as (Estimate to close report, Project Risk Register, Project Execution Plan)
- Follow up the project progress with the Installation /or construction team through a daily or weekly report for the Assistant Resident Engineer
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior transit and rail experience.
- Good Knowledge of Transit and rail for Communication and Train Control and/or Good Knowledge also for the civil works
- Support /or Perform the project team weekly or bi-weekly meeting
- Support the PM with the financial team for the project budget and the funds needed to complete the project
- Support and/or Coordinate with the relevant departments for the project needs such as (Engineering department, Maintenance department)
- Prepare and update (Draft) for PM the monthly reports such as ( Monthly Update, Earn value measurement, Project schedule ..)
- Prepare and update (Draft) for PM the quarter yearly reports such as (Estimate to close report, Project Risk Register, Project Execution Plan)
- Support the PM Follow up the project progress with the Installation /or construction team through a daily or weekly report for the Assistant Resident Engineer
- Prepare the system access form for the working teams in the field .
- Prepare (Draft) for PM of the project procurement such as (materials, work plan for consultant services needed for the project, ..)
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.

Compensation
Expected Salary: $111,200 - $198,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer
