Job Description:
Aerovel (The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program) is looking for a Composite Technician to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Bingen, WA.
In this role, you will manufacture various composite components from raw materials to finished products. Repair and refurbish damaged composite components.

The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program offers one of the most advanced small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS) with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). It can be used day or night by US and allied forces for a diverse range of intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) on land and at sea.

Your Challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Composite Manufacture and Repair: 60%
Ability to learn to read and interpret all common and accepted Blueprint/drawings types.
Performs composite manufacture and repair (as directed) related to molds, wet and prepare layup, re-work/repair of existing structures.
Ability to make repairs to common composite components.
Perform finish work including sanding and painting.
Create one of a kind molds and composite components for R&D (Research and Development).
Strict adherence to established safety, quality and manufacturing processes (Airbus, OEM, Regulatory bodies).
Part/Component Inspection: 20%
Self-Inspects Parts and Components where applicable.
Ability to use all related measuring devices/tools to ensure adherence to requested part/component documentation.
Perform in-depth inspection of outsourced composite components.
Completion of Documentation: 10%
