The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Director, Product Manager in our Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Agile Product Management team to work hybrid in one of our key city locations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide consultation and direction for the roadmap of critical product offerings, serving as champion for your assigned area(s).  Acting as a primary liaison to the business, you will coordinate with key stakeholders and product owners to deliver on goals and ensure ongoing visibility on the development progress and business value generation.  You will provide leadership and direction to achieve results and to plan, direct, and coordinate activities ensuring that goals or objectives of initiatives are accomplished within prescribed time frame achieving expected results. You will also ensure the implementation and adherence to standards and best practices for communication, documentation, and execution.

What you'll be doing

•    Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
•    Provides direction & ensures initiative and/or program plans align and support the operational plans for assigned area(s) and are aligned with LFG's overall business plans and specific strategic and tactical initiatives
•    Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives
•    Defines the vision and success measures for prioritized product offering(s), in collaboration with key business stakeholders and peers
•    Develops and manages product roadmaps for product offering(s), integrating the product strategy, inclusive of timelines, risks, and dependencies
•    Proposes solutions to stated business problems, assesses alternative solutions and identifies gaps based on their knowledge of the product and how clients use the product
•    Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards
•    Establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results
•    Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:
•    7+ Years of experience in Project Management or a product-related role within a development team that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position or experience in the financial services industry
•    3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
•    Strong working knowledge of agile methodology
•    4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
•    Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
•    Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches 
•    Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills
•    Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding
 
Nice-to-haves:  
•    Product Manager, Product Owner and/ or Related Agile Certifications
•    Retirement Plan Services business process experience
