General Description/Purpose:

The Delivery Helper will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Loader does this by loading Stickley product on delivery trucks to be delivered to Stickley retail customers and the Stickley Dealer network. The Delivery Helper completes these functions in the support of the Distribution of Stickley Furniture.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Loads product on trucks and trailers securely to minimize product damages, maximize vehicle capacity, and maintain stop sequence
2. Acts as a ride along to truck drivers and assist's with the unloading, prepping and other tasks as needed
   during delivery
3. Utilizes various devices such as carts, dollies, hand trucks, straps, etc. to aid in the delivery process
4. At the point of delivery, the driver helper is responsible unwrapping and preparing the furniture for
   delivery while the local driver interacts with the customer
   After each delivery is complete, the driver helper ensures that all furniture is properly secured and any
   used packaging material is stowed away safely
5. Through the course of making deliveries, the driver helper must communicate as needed with customer service representatives and the transportation coordinator
6. Assists with order picking and working at various heights
7. Communicates with drivers and supervisors when product is loaded out of sequence based on delivery stops and ensures that these are easily identified for the driver
8. Works with inventory and inspection teams throughout the loading process to ensure that inventory accuracy goals are achieved and quality standards are upheld
9. Scans products during the loading process to ensure that inventory tracking occurs and that accurately recorded
10. Reviews the shipping packet and ensures all documentation is included
11. Responsible for accurately, reviewing, interpreting, and as required notating manifests and bills of lading

Essential Knowledge, Skills:

1. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks
2. Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries
3. Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need)
4. Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned area (including but not limited to LRT, telephone, hand tools, computers, copiers, fax machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, electric lifts, etc.)
5. Satisfactorily complete all Stickley training requirements (including but not limited to departmental training, annual Hazardous Material and environmental training, Forklift Certification, etc.)
6. Ability to interpret company documents and literature and UPC information

Work Schedule:

1. First Shift; 6:00am - 2:30pm M-F
2. Hourly: Generally scheduled for 40 hours a week; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business
