Summary:

Manages the daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), including perioperative nursing, recovery, and clinical support functions, to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. This role provides leadership, supervision, and support to the nursing staff, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The Nurse Manager acts as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and administration, promoting compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

Manages ASC staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, labor utilization and retention, payroll, and student engagements.Monitors ASC budgets and ensures regulatory compliance. Determines and justifies needs for ASC systems, equipment, supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and stock supplies.Assesses the quality of patient care delivered in the ASC setting. Evaluates needs of patients and families. Provides patient and family centered care. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.Assists with developing ASC departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Additional Job Information:

Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of nursing experience in perioperative and recovery care and one (1) year of supervisory experience required.
