The importance of Data at Entera

At Entera, data is what drives us and is one of our core assets. Our customers depend on Entera because the combination of insights we generate and the data that we provide are not available anywhere else. We are creating a new space at the intersection of FinTech and PropertyTech.

The Role:

As a Senior Data Product Manager, you will build products that help people make enhanced decisions using data. As a senior member of the team, you will not only ideate and execute with the team, but you will be a key partner to the SVP Data in bringing OKRs and agile best practices to the team.

Successful candidates will thrive in Entera’s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven. As such, successful candidates must be highly capable in each of the following dimensions (among others): resourcefulness, adaptability, curiosity, analytical thinking/problem solving, proactivity, collaboration, technological savvy, and operating in a dynamic environment. Ideally based in the NYC metropolitan area but open to remote locations in the US.

What You'll Do:

 1. Bring data products to life, leading them from ideation to launch to outcomes

  • Keep our customers in mind in everything you build, even when the immediate stakeholder is an internal team
  • Own and lead the execution of your team’s roadmap, aligning it with Entera’s goals
  • Lead ideation of new initiatives, often with very senior leaders
  • Set the priorities for the Data Team by uncovering the potential value, complexity, and dependencies of new ideas
  • Acquire insights that inform your own decisions of “what to build” through various techniques, including designing and implementing experiments, rapid prototyping, etc

 2. Work cross-functionally, emphasizing fast, effective, and focused execution

  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, partners, and collaborators at all corners of the company, including C-Suite executives, client-facing team members, Engineers, Designers, Analysts, and other Product Managers.
  • Knowing that problems present themselves as solutions, tease out problem-statements from stakeholders coming with requests
  • Be the representative for your team, guarding them against noisy distractions and context-switching
  • Recognize and resolve situations where process is slowing down execution

 3. Be an agent of change within the org, bringing OKRs and agile best practices to the team

  • Implement the support-structure necessary and partner with the SVP Data in coaching the team to enable adoption
  • Setup the tools and process for measuring velocity and teach others about its value
  • Implement a cadence of sprint planning and effective execution
  • Help to change habits of our team and our stakeholders that are well-formed yet unscalable
  • Bring a sense of order to our intake process that both preserves our team’s focus and also satisfies our stakeholders’ time-sensitive needs
  • Lead planning efforts and discussions
  • Identify and resolve inter-team dependencies

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years experience building and shipping products that delight and empower customers, with at least 2+ at a high-growth startup or product-driven tech company
  • A passion for the use of data in decision making
  • You have regularly deployed products to end users, and measured the success of your work using thoughtful KPIs
  • Intimately familiar with OKRs
  • A leader in establishing agile best practices, not getting bogged down by hype
  • Effective communicator, with folks of all levels and backgrounds
  • Able to speak to truth to power, and push back on senior leaders when appropriate
  • Big picture thinker, getting hands-on with details
  • A mentor to your team

Nice to haves:

  • Prior experience
