Freight Broker

Location: Remote 
 
Schedule: Full-time; Monday- Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. 
 
JOB OVERVIEW 
 
CenturyPointe is seeking a freight broker to establish and grow a strong book of business by sourcing carrier capacity, negotiating rates to generate revenue growth and ensuring our customers' freight is delivered on time. An individual successful in this role would be a motivated self-starter who is hard-working and resilient.  

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to start at the ground floor of a business and build up. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively bring on new business and service customers 
• Negotiate and quote rates with carriers, prospecting new carriers and strengthening relationships with our current carriers. 
• Work cross-functionally with the organization to problem solve and ensure customer satisfaction and effective freight management. 
• In addition to working with current in-house freight, bringing own book of business  
• Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments  

 
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

•  At least 5+ years as a broker in the freight industry
•  Must have an immediate book of business that can be brought upon hiring
•  Can manage multiple priorities while working with minimal direction.
•  Have outstanding communication skills and strong follow-up and follow-through, and impeccable attention to detail.
