Mechanical Technician

Overview
Mechanical Maintenance Contractor seeking Mid to Upper-Level Experience in Industrial Machinery Repair. Multi-Craft Experience, such as Machinist, Millwright, Welder, Pipefitter, or Steamfitter, is preferred. Must have Mechanical Reasoning Skills, Understanding of Measurements, and Basic Problem-Solving Skills. Candidates will be required to work both as part of a Team and Individually on assigned tasks. Work involves traveling as part of a crew to various locations and Shop Related Work at our Stevenson Alabama Facility.

 Key Responsibilities
1.    Performing Routing, Structured Inspections and Maintenance Tasks on Industrial Machinery such as Steam Turbines, Blowers, Pumps and Fans.
2.    Assisting with Inspections of Machinery. Taking and Documenting Precision Measurements for Reporting.
3.    Troubleshoot Mechanical Issues and Diagnosing Problems with Machinery and Equipment.
4.    Conducting Repairs of Equipment using Hand and Power Tooling.
5.    Assist with General Fabrication of Parts, Components or Assemblies utilizing Steel, Aluminum Brass etc....
6.    Assist with the Rigging, Moving and Placement of Machine Elements using Cranes, Lifts and Hoists.
7.    Depending on Experience may be required to act as a Project Lead or Represent the Company as an Individual Technician.
8.    Must adhere to all applicable Safety Standards, Regulations and Protocols including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Skills and Qualifications
1.    Must be proficient in using Hand and Power Tools
2.    Read and Interpret Basic Mechanical Drawings
3.    Knowledge of Mechanical Principles, Pneumatic, Hydraulic or Steam Systems
4.    Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
5.    Ability to communicate effectively with Colleagues, Supervisors, and Customers.
6.    Possess Clear and Concise Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Physical Requirements
1.    Ability to Lift and Carry Equipment, Tools, and Materials
2.    Ability to Stand for Extended periods of time.

Education
1.    High School Diploma or Equivalent
2.    Relevant Experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance
3.    Certificates in Specific Trades
