About the role and about You:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced  Senior Manager, Total Rewards and People Operations to join our People team. Reporting to the Head of People, you will lead Zwift’s Total Rewards Program and People Operations. As the Total Rewards leader, you will play a critical role in the design, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of Zwift’s global compensation, benefits, and rewards and recognition programs.  You will be responsible for designing and executing competitive and fair Total Rewards strategies that align with industry standards, and promote a high-performance culture all in an effort to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. In partnership with key internal stakeholders, you will work to ensure internal equity and alignment with the company's overall objectives and assess competitive and sustainable labor market trends. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that the people team operates effectively and efficiently through world-class technology, thoughtful processes, and highly capable resources to deliver an exceptional employee experience. You will be expected to drive communication and training initiatives, maintain a working knowledge of global policy, federal and state legislation, compliance filings and all other regulations that may affect total reward policies or required government filings.

This is a cross-functional role which will partner with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and Business Leaders. The position scope includes employees in the U.S., UK, Canada, Brazil, China, and Japan.  

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, revise, communicate, and administer competitive Total Reward programs that are cost effective, consistent with labor market trends, and Zwift’s business strategy (including diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging) to ensure Zwift is able to attract and retain high caliber talent. 
  • Develop and implement an annual strategy to review Zwift’s job architecture and conduct market benchmarking. Use compensation surveys and data analysis to recommend updates to Zwift’s salary structure, merit cycles, bonus, equity, and incentive programs to ensure that we are competitive in the market and that Zwift’s compensation infrastructure is consistent and fair.
  • Make data-driven recommendations based on the analysis of complete data, market data and trends. Assess employee compensation through data analysis of compa-ratio and range penetration. Use benchmark data to inform budget recommendations for salary increases and promotions, as well as overall compensation and equity adjustments, as part of our annual merit cycle. 
  • Regularly asses, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of Zwift’s Total Rewards program for market competitiveness.
  • Lead People Operations team in developing, implementing, and executing operations procedures, including our HRIS and the People Team Jira Ticketing System.
  • Design and implement programs to minimize manual transactions and automate processes while improving the company’s knowledge-based People-related policies and practices, resulting in the improvement of self-service capabilities.
  • Audit Compensation Programs to ensure Zwift is in compliance with legal requirements. Recommend actions for new and evolving compensation legislation.
  • Develop training materials for use by People Business Partners, Business Leaders, and Managers to bring awareness and understanding of our compensation philosophy and programs.
  • Develop a team of highly capable People professionals. 
  • Work closely with the Benefits Manager to incorporate our Benefits Strategy and Values into Zwift’s comprehensive Total Rewards Strategy and Philosophy for all employees globally, including the review, communication, and implementation of the annual benefit programs Open Enrollment Process.
  • Partner with the Finance Team to ensure Compensation Guidelines support and align with Performance Management programs, including promotions, bonuses, merit increases, and annual budget planning for Compensation Cycles.
  • Partner with the Legal and Finance Teams on Zwift’s equity and stock option program.
  • Partner with IT to support Total Rewards People Processes in Workday.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  – preferred focus in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative fields or equivalent work experience
  • 7- 10+ years of combined experience in Total Rewards and People Operations with prior responsibility for overall compensation plan strategy, program design, deployment, and administration.
