<p>Role Title: Credit Risk Portfolio Analyst- Energy, Climate Action &amp; Infrastructure</p> <p>Location: Dublin</p> <p> </p> <p>This role is being offered on a permanent basis.</p> <p> </p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p> </p> <p>Are you an experienced Credit Risk Professional, ideally with, or with an aspiration to work in Renewables, Infrastructure and Project Finance?</p> <p> </p> <p>Energy, Climate Action &amp; Infrastructure is a key growth division of AIB with an established lending book of Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Assets in ROI, UK, Western Europe and USA. </p> <p> </p> <p>A vacancy now exists on the Credit Risk Portfolio team, monitoring portfolio performance and informing credit risk appetite in the areas of Renewables, Project Finance &amp; Infrastructure.</p> <p> </p> <p><u>Summary of role:</u></p> <p>The Risk Function is an independent, second line of defence function that monitors, controls and supports risk-taking activities across AIB.  The purpose of the Risk Function is to provide advice and guidance in relation to risk while providing independent oversight and reporting on AIB’s risk profile.</p> <p>The Risk Function’s main objective is to ensure AIB has a robust risk management framework and culture in place to ensure risks are taken within the risk appetite set by the Board, in support of AIB’s customer franchise and social responsibility.  </p> <p> </p> <p>Centrally located within the Credit Risk function, the Portfolio Monitoring team directly supports the Chief Credit Officer, ensuring credit risk management and risk-based credit decision making is robust across the Group. We are a high performing insights and reporting team, undertaking data-driven portfolio analysis to provide a top-down assessment of credit risk within AIB’s customer Balance Sheet and new lending activity. We protect the asset quality of the Bank’s balance sheet at a portfolio level through the setting and measurement of credit risk appetite and key risk indicators. </p> <p> </p> <p>An opportunity now exists within the Credit Risk Portfolio team for a motivated and focused individual, with knowledge of renewable energy, project finance and infrastructure lending and leading macro level indicators of risk within these sectors.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a key growth area within AIB and the Irish Economy, and the successful candidate will be required to assess sizeable domestic and international opportunities. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the delivery of a professional lending service to a number of Business teams and ultimately the Bank’s customers.</p> <p> </p> <p>We’re looking for someone who has:</p> <ol> <li>Previous experience in financial services, with knowledge and experience of Risk Management Methodologies, Frameworks and the Regulatory environment in which financial services / banking operates.</li> <li>Relevant 3rd level qualification;</li> <li>Strong Financial Analysis and Credit Assessment Skills;</li> <li>A proven awareness of sustainable lending;</li> </ol> <p> </p> <p>Who are we?</p> <ul> <li>We’re AIB. We are building a culture that breaks the conventions of what our customer and employees expect of a bank.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <ul> <li>In AIB, we are currently transitioning to our Hybrid Model and teams who have been working remotely are now returning to the office 2 days per week.  We intend to progress our fuller hybrid working plans in the coming months, where onsite days are focused on purposeful attendance, prioritising time to collaborate, connecting with our teams and wider colleagues.</li> </ul> <p>Does this sound like something that you want to be part of?</p> <p> </p> <p>You will need to show us that you:</p> <ol> <li>Experienced in a Credit, Risk or Finance related role with a focus on sustainable lending (relationship management, portfolio management, credit approval, financial reporting or governance role).</li> <li>Knowledge/interest in sustainable lending related credit products and a clear understanding of economic and socio-economic issues and their impact on credit risk.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of the regulatory requirements and operations of a credit institution licensed in Ireland, credit governance requirements and development of policies, procedures, reports and governance documents.</li> <li>Exposure to credit, financial analysis and report writing.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.</li> </ol> <p> </p> <p>If you feel yo
