About the role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for turning data into impactful insights? WSECU is seeking a Manager of Data and Analytics to lead a team of data professionals in delivering advanced analytics, data modeling, and predictive insights that drive organizational business opportunities. In this role, you'll guide data strategy, champion data quality, and ensure that high-impact work aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.

You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Marketing and Product to better understand member segments, identify growth opportunities, and evaluate service and product performance. Your work will power data-driven decisions behind new products, marketing campaigns, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a key leadership role for someone ready to connect business needs with analytics solutions while supporting a high-performing data team that’s helping shape the future of financial services.

Your day might include:

  • Translating business needs into data solutions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Ensuring Data and Analytics deliverables are managed and prioritized effectively to drive value back to strategic objectives stated in the WSECU business plan.
  • Supporting data quality initiatives, ensuring opportunities in accuracy, consistency, and understandability are understood and addressed as required.
  • Directing the work efforts of Data and Analytics vendors to confirm value is being returned in alignment with contractual expectations.
  • Developing & communicating data insights & recommendations in a clear & concise manner (i.e., data driven change management)
  • Providing expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied Analytics and Insights team and inspiring the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across the entire breadth of our organization
  • Analyzing and understanding Artificial Intelligence and how it can be leveraged not only within Data and Analytics, but also organizationally
     

What you bring to the team:

  • Seven (7) years or more of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, including two (2) years or more in leadership or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or similar work experience)
  • Familiarity with modern data stack technologies (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Azure, AWS).
  • Understanding of data governance, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience working with Marketing and Product lines of business.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities; detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into strategic insights.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; must be able to manage competing demands and priorities.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams.
  • Strong command of SQL, data modeling, and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Competitive base pay: $ 133,499.93- $200,249.89 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package

  • The target starting pay for this position is $ 133,499.93 - $166,874.91 annually, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
  • The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
     

Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite two (2) occasions per week
 

When you’d work: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, full-time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this exempt position.
