Job Summary: Prepares and serves food to customers, following recipes and safety guidelines.
Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED and one year of food service experience.
Work Days/Hours: Variable Schedule.
Licensure/Certification: Not required.
Essential Functions:
- Follows hospital and departmental policies, emphasizing customer service and teamwork.
- Aims for high customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Maintains sanitation standards and cleanliness, complying with health regulations.
- Monitors food quality, productivity, and schedules.
- Ensures workplace safety and sanitation.
- Completes required training and participates in improvement initiatives.
- Minimizes waste and controls costs.
- Plans workday efficiently and manages food quantities.
- Prepares food following standardized recipes, maintains food logs, and follows safety guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English and ability to follow instructions.
- Operate cooking equipment and adjust recipes for volume.
- Tolerate temperature variations.
- Desire to achieve high customer service standards.
- Availability for weekends and holidays.
- Effective communication with patients, visitors, employees, and managers.
Work Environment: May work in various areas, including the kitchen and retail spaces, with exposure to wet floors and sharp equipment.
