Epic Pharmacy Systems Analyst

The Epic Systems Analyst of Pharmacy maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Manages IT projects/products in order to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health System's business needs using the EpicCare system. Participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility, cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Participates in all phases of review and testing of new Epic application releases.
• Analyzes IT processes, workflow analysis and identification/communication/evaluation of alternate solutions encompassing a variety of techniques.
• Implements and enhances IT procedures based on user requirements.
• Determines new procedures for maximizing the benefits achieved through the use of automated systems.
• Participates in ongoing maintenance of major systems while following all Change Management procedures.
• Prioritizes and implements requested changes to Epic systems in accordance to Change Management procedures.
• Maintains and communicates rules for new version releases, change control processes and procedures/standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications using Epic guidelines.
• Assists in conducting system investigations to determine general feasibility, cost and alternative system solutions as well as potential system enhancements.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Experience: 2 years of system analysis experience
• Certification: Epic Certification in applicable sub system required or attained within 6 months of hire
• Licensure: Licensure as required by the state in area of practice or obtained within 1 year of hire
