Job Description:

Summary:

University Event Scheduling is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented student to join our team! This part-time position offers hands-on experience with event scheduling systems and campus operations. As a student scheduling assistant, you will help process and manage space reservations through the EMS scheduling system, respond to emails and phone calls from event organizers, and support a variety of operational and database maintenance tasks. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line office coverage, including answering the main phone line, responding to general inquiries, and welcoming walk-in guests.

  • Review and process space requests in the EMS scheduling system, paying strict attention to University space policies and scheduling restrictions.

  • Communicate with clients via email and phone about questions or concerns related to their event requests, offering alternatives and coordinating with campus schedulers as needed.

  • Assist with managing user access and data updates in EMS.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-Time.

  • 15 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $17.95 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing quality work.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Interest and ability to work with technology and process large amounts of information.

  • Professionalism and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Federal work study eligibility.

  • Preference for candidates who can commit to at least one full academic year (excluding summers); a two-year commitment is preferred.
