About the role

Whether you come from a background in public accounting, corporate finance, auditing, or financial operations, you can be successful in this role. We’re looking for someone who loves problem solving while working with large amounts of data, and has a high attention to detail. Plus, bonus points if you’ve worked in the accounting industry before, and are familiar with Snowflake or SQL.

About the Role:

As a Financial Analyst, you update and maintain financial statement forecasts for Veterans United and the Veterans United Foundation (VUF). In addition, you assist the Chief Financial Officer and Controller with preparing financial information for Board of Director/Executive meetings as well as fulfill Executive requests.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:

  • Jump in on special projects for the Accounting team and other departments, helping things run smoother across the board.

  • Put together monthly financial projections for Veterans United and the Veterans United Foundation, making sure the numbers tell a clear story.

  • Help out with month-end close and support reporting needs so the team has what they need to move forward.

  • Step up to handle a variety of responsibilities as needed—always ready to add value wherever possible (excluding licensed tasks).

About You:

  • Detail Obsessed. Typos? Missing cents? Mismatched data? Not on your watch. You spot inconsistencies and fix them fast.

  • Adaptable. Even with structure, things change—and you're cool with shifting gears when needed.

  • Quantitative and Analytical Thinker. You like digging into the numbers and finding clarity in the details. You’re the one people trust to figure it out.

  • Great Communicator. You know how to communicate clearly—both in writing and when talking through complex ideas.

  • Service-Minded. You’re helpful, responsive, and respectful—especially when supporting internal teams or answering questions via email.

About Us:

We’re all about helping Veterans and military families become homeowners. In two short decades, we closed over 500,000 VA Loans and became the #1 VA lender for homebuyers in the nation. But to us, success isn’t measured in numbers. Our success is measured in living our values every day: Be Passionate and Have Fun, Deliver Results with Integrity and Enhance Lives Every Day. We always strive to provide friendly service to military homebuyers and their families. And we always seek to lift up people and communities across the country.

We’re so glad you’re here checking out this opportunity!  If this role gets you excited but you’re worried you don’t check every box – don't sweat it. We’re more interested in what you can bring to the team than a perfect checklist. If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you. Come as you are, and together we’ll create something amazing.
