JOB TITLE - Infrastructure & Capital Projects – EMS Senior Technician - Construction, ANS

THE WORK:

• You'll assist with HVAC Controls Design and Submittal reviews.
• You'll assist in reviewing utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro commissioning.
• You'll assist in reviewing EMS and energy data, and alarms to identify no cost/low-cost energy conservation measures.
• You'll assist in the review of EMS, energy data, and alarms to identify preventive maintenance measures.
• You'll perform site visits to investigate as built conditions on identified projects.
• You'll implement low-cost to no-cost solutions or alternatives to projects/repairs of EMS systems at existing school sites.
• You'll troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems 9.8 Respond to basic warranty calls.
• You'll calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
• You'll assist in managing In-House Commissioning Projects.
• You'll perform other duties as assigned.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering (mechanical, computer science, electrical, information technology) OR Two-year technical degree in HVAC, Electronics-related studies with additional 2 years of experience to compensate for education on a year-for-year basis
• Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in building controls or a related field
• Understanding of computer networking principles, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Ability to wire, start up, and troubleshoot basic HVAC maintenance issues
• Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience working with multiple controls manufacturers including Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta, Distech, Schneider Electric, or Trane
• Proven ability to debug installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases
• Experience supporting installation personnel and other contractors on project sites
• Extensive experience in performing or assisting in performance of commissioning of EMS
