Job Description

Position Overview

The Technical Agile Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of software and infrastructure engineering projects, as well as planning and executing in Agile methodologies. This position requires strong communication, influencing, project management, and Agile skills.

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Serve as single point of contact for assigned engineering teams as scrum master
  • Plan, track and open tasks in Jira
  • Lead and manage multiple projects and activities of varying methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), types, and sizes, ensuring objectives and project deliverables are accomplished according to plan
  • Synthesize and simplify complete concepts/requirements to the team and stakeholders and tie back to business objectives
  • Build an effective working partnership with engineers to lead team to success
  • Create and manage all required project artifacts and weekly status and velocity reports
  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly project meetings, daily standups, and ceremonies
  • Effectively manage project lifecycle, including product backlog
  • Lead sprint planning sessions, estimating, and retrospectives or lessons learned
  • Manage team capacity, deliverables and releases in Jira through implementation of Kanban project management
  • Utilize enterprise project management tools and applications to provide project status and reporting, while adhering to PMO processes, documentation standards, and best practices
  • Own team metrics and submit Sprint, Monthly and Quarterly team performance metrics
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks and work streams to achieve department and business goals
  • Manage risks, issues, track and resolve dependencies and utilize resources to remove impediments to the team
  • Partner with colleague program, project and product managers within the organization
  • Implement Sprint or Kanban approach to organizing project requests, assign project requests, manage resources and track completion

Required Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. degree in relevant field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years’ experience Scrum, Kanban experience
  • 2+ years’ experience using Jira, Confluence and JQL queries
  • 4+ years’ project management experience in leading complex engineering projects
  • Solid understanding of media engineering practices
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Clarizen, and ServiceNow
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, as well as strong and consistent attention to detail
  • Foundational understanding of software and infrastructure engineering technologies (compute, storage, network, database, cloud, devops, infrastructure as code, front/back-end development)
  • Ability to effectively summarize status and communicate with senior leadership
  • Adaptable performer who can lead effectively under pressure and through significant change
  • Ability and desire to continually learn about new technologies, project management methodologies, and adapt to ever-changing business and industry needs

Qualifications

  • PMP certification
  • CSM certification
  • Previous work experience within media entertainment industry
  • Previous experience as an engineer
  • DevOps experience
  • Culture carrier with strong leadership skills to drive, deliver, develop and inspire
  • Results-oriented with initiative to work until job is complete
  • Experience in US digital Media
  • Experience in video supply chain, infrastructure, delivery systems and playback preferred.
  • Exceptional technical, analytical, organizational, and research skills
  • Ability to lead and present program information in face-to-face presentations to varied audiences; including executive management
  • Strong team building, vendor, and customer relations skills
  • Be analytical and process-oriented
