Parts Cage Clerk

Summary

The parts cage clerk issues parts and operating supplies, performs data entry, completes requisitions for parts and operating supplies, and runs computer requisitions.  The Clerk is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventories, check incoming freight, prepare outgoing freight shipments, maintain the parts cage cleanliness and support and foster safe operations. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Issuing parts, tools, and supplies
• Data entry of receiving and managing any issues
• Maintain accurate inventory
• Fill in for other Parts Clerks in their absences (all Shifts)
• Restock part and supplies when received
• General housekeeping in work area
• Maintain and promote a safe working environment
• Any other tasks as requested by Leadership

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent not required, but it is preferred.

Experience Requirements

Must be able to operator computer. 

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
• May need to move equipment or supplies from one place to another.
• May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
