LP Insurance Services is eager to promote the insurance and risk management industry to students seeking careers with immense opportunity. We are offering an internship position in Reno, NV to UNR Business College students as follows:

Dates for Internship: Start date approximately September 16th; schedule can be somewhat flexible depending on selected candidate’s needs.

Duration of Internship: 12 Weeks

Weekly Hours and schedule: 20 Hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm; Exact working schedule to be discussed in interview.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Description of Internship: Selected candidate will gain an introductory level of knowledge about accounting operations of an insurance brokerage company. They will then will focus on a specific department of the company to learn day to day processes and become familiar with the various roles of team members in that department.

Please note: The internship is a short term, temporary position that will end after 12 weeks. Completion of the internship does not guarantee an offer of full time employment. Internship candidates may apply and be considered for open positions within the company.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or must be working toward Bachelor’s degree.

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Excellent relationship building skills, problem solving and analytical skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
