Senior Financial Analyst - Operations

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Plan, coordinate and prepare manufacturing budget and drive business planning activities.
2. Active participation in Manufacturing overhead process improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing improvements for cost controls and operational performance.
3. Review program financial performance and make recommendations for efficiencies.
4. Perform financial variance analysis for production costs, inventory levels, and material consumption.
5. Perform financial analyses of profit improvement initiatives
6. Perform financial analyses of capital proposals
7. Deliver analytical insights to manufacturing partners and within the finance team on a weekly/monthly basis
8. Establish relationships with process partners inside and outside of the finance department that are critical to overall company communication and collaboration

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

1. Assist manufacturing operations personnel in understanding operational KPI’s and in analyzing operational variances

Prepare other financial analyses as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting  or Finance
2. 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing operations
4. ERP system experience
5. System proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Office 365 tools

Preferred Education & Experience:

1. Experience working in the automotive industry.
2. Relevant certification (CFA/CPA) a plus

2. Formal problem solving skills (Lean, Six Sigma or similar)

4. Ability to communicate financial data through detailed reports and charts
