Purpose
To serve as receptionist for the LBJ School and provide administrative support as a member of the Chief Business Officers team.
Responsibilities
Facilities: Oversee mailrooms and faculty/staff kitchens. Maintain office and kitchen supply inventories. Annually, organize mailboxes. Collaborate with student employees to ensure mailrooms and kitchens are clean, inviting, and well-stocked. Serve as a building safety contact. Back up the primary building contact as assigned. Projects: Support special projects as assigned. Receiving and Mail: Receive packages and mail. Maintain receiving logs and documentation. Coordinate distribution of mail with student employees. Maintain contact lists for former employees/building occupants. Forward or return misdirected mail.
Assist faculty and staff with outgoing US and express mail shipments. Reception: Serves as professional receptionist for the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Greet faculty, staff, students, and the public in person, by phone, and by email. Answer questions and direct individuals to appropriate offices/employees. Maintain relevant logs and records. Ensure the Deans Office common areas are tidy, welcoming, and professional in appearance. Maintain the Deans Office conference room. Clerical support: Provide clerical support and provide on-site meeting support as assigned. Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, OR high school graduation or GED, and five years of administrative/clerical experience. Prior receptionist/front desk experience. Professional demeanor. Regular and punctual attendance is a must.

Bachelor's Degree 1 year+ of Administrative Assistant experience,
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Hourly Rate
$22.00 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
Attire: Business Casual
Work attire will normally vary between business casual and jeans depending on scheduled activities. Business attire may occasionally be required for events.
