Job title: Senior Software Engineer

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join its Engine Connectivity Engineering (ECE) department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and will contribute to new and existing ECE projects. 

Responsibilities

• Maintaining existing projects that require system and network programming skills
• Contributing to new projects in out-of-core and database-related areas
• Participating in the design and implementation of advanced programming concepts, such as iterators and coroutines
• Publishing open-source programming tasks in Wolfram's repositories and on GitHub

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in C system programming on Windows, macOS and Linux, with a focus on thread-safe I/O, databases and system credentials
• Proficiency in network programming with the TCP/IP stack
• Experience with Wolfram Language
• Experience with Git repositories
• Strong documentation writing skills
