Position Overview:
You will lead the design, development, integration, and validation of intake and exhaust systems for future Off-Road Vehicle platforms. In this role, you will own system development from concept through release, working across engineering, design, purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers, and external resources to deliver components that meet performance, quality, cost, timing, and reliability objectives. You will support design reviews, validation planning, test data analysis, field issue resolution, and competitive benchmarking to improve system performance and product execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complete system integration of intake and exhaust systems into off-road vehicle products.
- Own and manage intake and exhaust system development plans from concept through purchasing, manufacturing, validation, and production release.
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, reliability, development schedule, cost, and performance goals.
- Complete design tasks in the Polaris Release System and support timely release of components and documentation.
- Create and maintain component specifications, test procedures, design guidelines, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs.
- Ensure production drawings are accurate, properly dimensioned using GD&T, and aligned to key product characteristics.
- Organize and lead design reviews with engineering and functional teams to ensure appropriate input and alignment.
- Determine component manufacturing methods that support design, performance, quality, and cost objectives.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, suppliers, and external resources to develop and refine system solutions.
- Prepare sketches, layouts, presentations, and technical materials to support resolution of engineering problems.
- Quantify intake and exhaust system performance through data acquisition, test data analysis, and development evaluation.
- Analyze field issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of design and development experience.
- Understanding and experience with intake and/or exhaust system design.
- Product development experience with vehicle mechanical systems or engines is preferred.
- Proficiency with Creo as a primary CAD software.
- Experience creating or supporting GD&T drawings, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, component specifications, and test procedures.
- Experience using CAE tools to optimize designs is preferred.
- Lab testing and data acquisition experience is preferred.
- Experience riding off-road products, motorcycles, or other recreational vehicles is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to operate off-road vehicles, including ATVs and side-by-sides, for development and performance evaluation.
- Travel as needed, up to 10%.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $98,000 to $129,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
