Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experiences

Good knowledge of plastic rules (Stack Up, Geometry data analysis, Checking Fixture Specification etc…).

 

Min 5 years of significant experience in geometry field in direct contact with customer, practice of interface job between product & process department.

 

Mechanical engineering, / Stack up / datum system statistics analytics & tolerancing & Dimension convergence.

 

 

Dimensional inspection

Capability to drive, animate local function network.

Ability to cascade information / support roll out organization

DEVELOP GEOMETRY KNOW-HOW

• Lead Geometry Métier Project in the region locally in line with Division target and budget.
• Manage Geometry activities / Loading resources for BU.
• Lead the team with Geometry right first-time mind set in respect of industrial standards and HSE requirement.
• Be the Local Geometry referent within Business Unit to raise technically the function at the expected standards.
• Animate the BU Geometry network.
• Support and propose continuous improvement ideas, actions based on existing Geometry processes / tools to Division metier leader / manager and be responsible for roll out after approval within his business unit.
• Be responsible of the strict application of golden rules (Design - architecture – product performance – appearance)

 

STANDARD MISSIONS GEOMETRY ENGINEER:

• Define datum scheme, stack-ups, develop Checking fixture & R&R on time according to Optimap.
• Geometry convergence to support RFT / PPAP project plan.
• Supports tolerance commitment negotiation.
• Attend to the Geometry metier network meeting / Contributes to his/her métier continuous improvement for methodologies.
•  Product geometry Convergence Tools:
  • 100% geometry folder validated: OPtimap milestone G4.
  • D.REVIEW/QUAD/TFC participation 100% on dedicated project
• Main deliverables:
  • CTQ/Geometry Folder/Interface forms (do or validate)
  • Capitalization forms on his project

Activities

GEOMETRY (BU LEADER)

• Participate to the new supplier Audit, Qualification and training to PO Standard.
• Participate the Geometry Eng. BU recruitment aligned with Division metier leader / manager.
• Training in product geometry / checking fixture management.
• Responsible and upgrade locally the metier standard in regards to Division direction and targets .

HR: Job Description, Skill Matrix, Training path, Training module, etc.

Metier: CTQ, Spec Book, Geo dashboard,

• Follow the cluster activities China, Portugal and India,etc… in accordance to central metier leader. 
• Participate to the Geometry network, and internal communications.

Metier meeting and information transfer, lesson learn.

BU workload organisation with Eng. Group leader.

Workshop with team on specific subject.

Internal communications / Technical Watch analyses.

• Define the Geometry Road map, headcount, skill, tomorrow measuring tool / new software/technology. Localisation, etc to support EC strategy in accordance with central metier leader.
