About the role

Overview

Senior People Services (Human Resources) Coordinator

Position Overview

Magnolia Hotel Omaha is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Senior People Services Coordinator to support the hotel’s day-to-day People Services functions.

This is a full-time, on-site position. Because this individual will serve as the hotel’s only on-site Human Resources representative, they must be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of the function, and leading by example. The successful candidate will be visible, approachable, professional, and committed to modeling the standards and behaviors expected of all hotel team members.

This role is intentionally designed to provide the right candidate with the opportunity to develop into a People Services Manager position. Advancement will be based on demonstrated performance, professional growth, sound judgment, leadership readiness, and the evolving needs of the hotel.

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys the Human Resources discipline and takes pride in supporting team members, maintaining accurate processes, and helping create a positive workplace. This individual must have a strong work ethic and be organized, methodical, dependable, and committed to following responsibilities through to completion.

This position requires a consistent presence at the hotel. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not being considered at this time.

Growth Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to gradually assume greater responsibility in areas such as employee relations, compliance, recruiting strategy, training, team member engagement, performance management, and leadership consultation.

For the right individual who demonstrates consistent performance, initiative, sound judgment, technical Human Resources knowledge, and the ability to independently support the hotel’s People Services function, this position may evolve into a Human Resources Manager role. This career progression is not automatic or guaranteed and will depend on individual readiness, sustained performance, and business needs.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate does more than complete assigned tasks. They take ownership, create structure, anticipate needs, and follow responsibilities through to completion. They understand that, as the hotel’s only on-site Human Resources representative, their conduct sets an example for others.

They enjoy being a trusted resource and understand that successful Human Resources work requires consistency, confidentiality, empathy, accuracy, and a sincere commitment to the team member experience. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with Magnolia Hotel Omaha, develop a strong understanding of hotel operations, and build the knowledge, judgment, and confidence needed to eventually lead the Human Resources function.
