Title and Summary
VP, Data Access Strategy and Agreements, Open BankingOverviewThe Open Banking team is looking for a Vice President, Data Access Strategy and Agreements. This role will be responsible for developing our strategy for data access and engaging directly with financial institutions with whom Mastercard connects, to enable consumer access to financial records through bi-lateral agreements. The VP will develop, maintain, and grow our relationships with Financial Institutions, to ensure connectivity and serve as a point of escalation/resolution on connectivity issues, as they arise.
The ideal candidate is passionate about open banking, highly motivated, a strategic thinker, and strong at growing and managing internal and external relationships.
Role
• Create and support plans that will help meet the data access needs of the company to fulfill product requirements
• Drive bi-lateral agreements with targeted financial institutions
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with financial institutions and other holders of consumers financial data
• Rapidly address and resolve customer issues related to data access
• Build and maintain knowledge of the competitive market to enhance Mastercard's competitive advantage
• Develop and sustain partnerships within the US open banking and financial industry
• Collaborate with internal product and technology partners to understand data access needs
• You will also leverage the deep client relationships across the overall Mastercard business to ensure a collaborative and unified interface to Data Access Provider relationships

• Strong organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills to successfully communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic mindset with ability to understand partner and industry objectives
• Excellent relationship development, problem solving and issue management skills
• Good working knowledge of technology and APIs to understand implementation approaches (e.g., APIs, cloud-based infrastructure, microservices, technical SLAs)
• Experience in negotiating agreements with large institutions
• Persistently monitors the market and competition to see what is happening
