Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

Schedule: Mon-Fri 1000-1800

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Makes foot patrols checking in with the various clinics, volunteer station, and coffee shop
• Makes foot patrols in the parking lots and parking structure
• Makes foot patrols inside and outside the buildings to identify any illegal or nuisance activity on the premises
• Must verbally address issues and may from time to time need to engage Hospital Security Staff and local Law Enforcement
• Serves as a visual deterrent to illegal or egregious activity. Typical encounters include loitering, vagrant activity, vandalism, verbal altercations, drug use or drug transactions, and helping the general public
• The Security Officer documents rounds and incident reports via a Vision device, thus they need to be comfortable with using technology

Security Officer Requirements: 

• 18 years of age or older 
• High School Diploma or GED Required 
• Strong computer / technology skills needed
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
• Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift
• Valid Driver’s license with clear driving record required
• Long periods of standing and walking are required
• Must have exceptional customer service and de-escalation skills
