The Appraisal and Environmental Assistant Review Manager is responsible for assisting senior management with supervising the Wintrust Real Estate Services Appraisal and Environmental Review Team. This position will have direct oversight for a portion of the review team and its functionalities.
What You’ll Do
Oversee the quality and compliance of our third-party due diligence report reviews on individual files that we facilitate while maintaining department SLAs and mentoring staff on the overall review process
Communicate with internal staff, internal lenders, and third-party vendors to effectively complete accurate and timely due diligence under the proper scope of work
Oversight of all department workflow procedures, implementing credit policy requirements into the day-to-day workflow, and systems oversight to ensure the technical platforms are always maintained
Participate and successfully complete compliance testing and continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry related updates
Assist in other initiatives such as the department quarterly newsletter and market reports, internal Bank trainings on WRES related services, and updating internal documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Min 5 years' experience appraising and/or reviewing third party appraisal reporting
Prior experience with ASTM and environmental due diligence reporting
Proven leadership and experience mentoring less experienced staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of CRE credit structures and how to comply with due diligence and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical skills and quantitative abilities
Technical knowledge and ability to adapt to different applications and systems

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $138,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
