About the role
Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring all machinery and mechanical equipment are operational, safe and in accordance with the manufacturers' specifications. The incumbent schedules maintenance of equipment and machinery, schedules major overhauls, ensure adequate spare parts are available and all fuels, lubricants, gases, paints, and any hazardous materials are properly stored and handled in accordance with HSE regulations. Per Diem: $35 - $70 per day ($210 - $420 per week) Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF
- 60 hours per week (opportunity for more)
- 36 weeks ON and 17 weeks OFF (22% MORE TIME OFF)

- Regularly inspect and maintain Heavy Equipment to include but not limited to: excavators, front end loaders, backhoes, skid steers, telehandlers and man lifts.
- Regularly inspect and maintain fleet vehicles to include but not limited to 1 ton, ¾ ton, ½ ton pickups, vans, and SUVs to include gasoline and diesel engines.
- Regularly inspect and maintain heavy fleet vehicles to include semi tractors, dump trucks, bucket trucks and boom trucks.
- Manage parts inventory to insure adequate supply of replacement and preventative maintenance parts and fluids.

- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Two (2) years’ work experience with light duty vehicles and three (3) years with heavy equipment.
- Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record
- Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Knowledge of mechanical and maintenance processes and procedures
- Knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
- Ability to implement mechanical knowledge and skills
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situation or emergencies
- Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem or recommend a solution
- Ability to set and balance priorities to complete projects on time
- Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to handle stress and maintain composure through difficult situations
- General knowledge of diagnostic computer software and basic computer skills for the purpose of data entry.
