Corporate Contracts Paralegal

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Your role as a Paralegal is (1) manage contracts workflow, from inception to review to obtaining signatures, including updating platforms such as SharePoint and SalesForce and (2) to assist the legal team in managing day to day operations as needed, including legal invoicing, managing various trackers, managing legal templates and other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The right person for our Contracts Paralegal position will have at least three (3) years of law firm or in-house experience with a focus on contract review, document management and assisting in legal department functions. Some litigation experience is a plus (but not necessary). The ideal candidate will also be a quick and eager learner who is looking for a long-term position with a close-knit team. This role requires self-motivation, ownership mentality, effective communication, independent judgement, and excellent client-relationship skills. You will succeed in this role if you are a highly organized, driven, and analytical individual seeking exposure to a complex organization in growth mode.
We are looking for an independent problem solver with a can-do attitude, an elevated level of attention to detail and general information technology and business acumen.
Based in Miami, FL, you will report directly to our VP, Senior Associate General Counsel. Over time, you will have the opportunity to highlight your communication skills and work regularly with our sales leaders and across the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transaction Support: Prepare and execute master services agreements, SOWs, NDAs, contract and vendor related forms. Overall contract administration and management and tracking of non-standard terms. Problem-solving and negotiation to resolve conflicts in the contract lifecycle.
- Communication: Provide clear guidance verbally and in writing to Sales team and across the business. Identify process improvement and training opportunities. Respond to contract related and other requests in a timely and business minded manner.
- General Support: Prepare correspondence as needed. Provide general administrative support to the legal team. Develop and enforce processes and policies. Assist with budget matters and optimize workflows within the legal department. Works cooperatively and collaboratively with other departments and individuals in the company.
- Record Maintenance. Maintain legal documents, including confidential records, in secure folders with attention to detail and organization.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 3-7 years of paralegal experience, preferably initially in a reputable commercial or corporate law firm and then within an in-house legal department, but either are acceptable. Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Advanced computer skills: Mastery of Adobe Pro, Microsoft O365, SharePoint, DocuSign, Conga Salesforce, and other commonly used business and legal software to support the requirements of the legal department, including generating and analyzing reports.
